Workshop Title: Power, Privilege and Working with Refugees
May Project Gardens has served the London community with wellbeing services for thirteen years. It is a permaculture project and creative arts space principled on working with the most marginalised in society – BAME, young people, and socially excluded – to find community solutions to overcome personal, social and economic hardships. Project activities include a community garden open days every Friday and Sunday, outreach sessions combining arts, food growing and healthy cooking, a community radio show, and their flagship ‘Hip Hop Garden’ youth initiative working with Young Refugees.
